Treatment of animals postpartum depends on
the general condition, may be indicated infusion 5% dextrose solution in saline
or Ringer's solution, and penicillin or antibiotics other.
If the condition of the animals bad postpartum can be give
blood transfusion or preparations of corticosteroid.
Uterine bleeding that occurs after surgery of sectio cesar excessive , usually
indicates that the uterus fails to contraction. If with be give pituitary fails
to improve the conditions so that can be given gluconat calcium intravenously.
If this action still fails to control bleeding after partum ( post parturient
haemorrhagea ), recommended for given ergonvine maleate 0.125 to 0.25 mg per 20
to 30 lb weight loss. As soon as after animal able to care for baby animal, the
child should be given to the animals parents because children need milk as food
and natural treatment of the parent body, the contact between parent and child
will stimulate the uterus of mother to contract . If the mother is in good
condition it can be brought home and pet owners were given instructions of
treatment and the possibility of complications after sectio cesar. The animal
parent should not be allowed to move around a lot, especially jumping for
making escape suture that can trigger off an infection that became a prolong
process of healing. Skin sutures can be opened after 10 days.
