Dewaruci Navy Ship


KRI Dewaruci the TNI Navy ships have a pretty phenomenal, this is the kind of ship sailing vessel used to train the cadet or midshipman from the Naval Academy. KRI Dewaruci is the largest sailing vessel owned TNI Navy today, its name taken from a puppet character from the land of Java named Dewa Ruci.

The ship was built in German shipyards country Stulchen & Sohn HC Hamburg, measuring 58.5 meters long and 9.5 meters wide. KRI Dewaruci classified as one of the high sailing ship in 1952 from the shipyard which still operates from three other ships. KRI Dewaruci, built in 1932 and completed in 1952 had overdue caused the shipbuilding dock damaged by world war II. KRI Dewaruci currently based in the Eastern Fleet TNI AL. KRI Dewaruci also actively follow a sailboat race in various countries in the world and has his own marching band group named Gita Jala Taruna.

KRI Dewaruci has 3 main pillars called Bima, Arjuna and Yudhistira. In addition to these main pillar KRI Dewaruci also supported by 16 other pillar with a total area of 1091 m².

Front pillar (35.25 m) consists of : 
Flying Jib, Outer Jib, Middle Jib, Inner Jib, Royal Sail, Top Gallant Sail, Upper Top Sail, Lower Top Sail, Fore Sail.

Main pillar (35.87 m) consists of : 
Main top gallant sail, Main top mast stay sail, Main stay sail, Main top sail, Main sail.

Final pillar (32.50 m) consists of : 
Mizzen top sail, Mizzen sail.
