Keracunan akibat Staphylococcus

Staphylococcus merupakan organisme yang menyerupai gerombolan buah anggur atau berpasangan dalam rantai pendek, umumnya tumbuh pada media padat berwarna kuning, keemasan. Staphylococcus menghasilkan toksin,disebut Enterotoxin yang menyebabkan gatroentritis atau inflamasi pada saluran pencernaan. Toxin diproduksi pada temperature 15,6ºC – 46,1ºC, suhu optimum40ºC yang menghasilkan toksin antara 4 – 6 jam.
