Faktor yangmempengaruhi berat lahir pada bayi, antara lain :

1. Umur ibu.
Semakin muda umur ibu ( kurang dari 20 tahun ) atau semakin tua ( diatas 35tahun ) menyebabkan kondisi rahim ibu kurang optimal untuk memberikan nutrisi pada bayi yang dikandung sehingga berat lahir bayi kecil.
