AIDS ( Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome ) disebabkan oleh infeksi Human Immunodeficiency Virus ( HIV ).

Setelah terjadi infeksi virus HIV di dalam tubuh, virus menuju kelenjar limfa dan berada dalam sel dendritik selama beberapa hari.
